Thanks everyone. I learned a lot - not realizing how many made their own drivers.

A recent review of Magico (at Ultra Audio) is what prompted me to ask this question. Talking about manufacturing, the reviewer made it sound like Magico was one of only a few in the world who made their own. After scanning this thread, there must be near 20 in North America and Europe. Still a minority - but far more than I thought.

Maybe this thread opened a door to those who were not aware of companies taking their job (a little) more serious than the rest.
