Jason Bloom passed away in 2003, according to the note in Stereophile.http://www.stereophile.com/asweseeit/922/
Bloom sold the company to a/d/s, who was responsible for screwing it up, er, shutting it down, that is. I suspect that had Bloom or someone with the ability to properly manage the company remained in charge that your position might be different. Bloom didn't just walk away.
