Not true, certainly from manufacturers' standpoints. Your remark indicates there may be a public perception issue.

His speakers are cheaper, and since he’s not paying any dealers, he sells them factory direct.

Even Klipsch has a web site.

Bose and Klipsch don't make speakers costing well into five figures and above, and their products are built on assembly lines.
