I am not against dealers at all, and I realize they have overhead.
But very few things are being sold at FULL Retail anymore.Believe me, I have many friends in High End Audio involved in the retail arena.
Discounting is becoming a way of life as the market changes due to the Internet. My point is still this.
IF a Von Schweikert dealer has to "match" the 30 off offered by the web site, and STILL makes 20 points, so what ?Of course, a dealer could TRY and sell a more "protected" line ?
But WHAT is "protected" anymore, really ?The Internet has forever changed all of that!
Without naming names, I know several friends able to secure 30 percent off deals over the Internet on some well known "protected" lines.
