You could be absolutely right on the VR9s Quint... I confess that I did not get to hear the demo with those when I popped into the VS display (the 11s were already moved into position)... I would have loved the opportunity. I also have heard many who said they preferred the VR9s to the VR11s (and as I said, the VR11s were the best I *did* hear, so I can only imagine how great the VR9s must be). I definitely envy you... :-)I also agree on your asessment of the DB-99s... They don't seem to get as much press as many of the other VS speakers... It really is too bad, as they do indeed provide an excellent bang-for-the-buck (and they just plain sound great regardless). They are VS's hidden gems, I guess...
