Although Ohm does use damping to lower the output of the newer Walsh drivers to the rear, for improved room interaction, and imaging, they do still produce a considerable amount rear(and off center rear)projected sound. It would be more inaccurate to classify them as direct radiating, or front firing. I'd agree they are an omnidirectional speaker with some back wave attenuation... but definitely an Omni!Not mentioned yet, Wolcott Omnispheres are still available, I believe. There's also Duevel Planets, and B&O's Beolabs... though I'm not sure if the B&Os are really an Omni.
