Winslow Burhoe, the inventor of the inverted-dome tweeter, had a long listen to that prototype and his judgment was, "John, that tweeter is a winner!"
My speaker would be OK on a desktop at arm's length... but for the money and to fill a room, the cabinet has to be bigger and the woofer has to be bigger.
That said, if a rich person wanted desktop speakers--that's the one to have.
In theory, available by special order and prepayment.
