Their small size(8 x 11 x 11) is nice for small rooms, but they do best with stands. I was auditioning the Micra versus the Rogers LS 3/5A and much preferred the Micra in a similar size. They are hard to find used however, and the new price is around $1000 more than your $2000 maximum.
