Quad speakers with Mac Amp

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I currently have Quad ESL-63's powered by Quad 405 amp. I've been fortunate to have inherited a like-new McIntosh amplifier (MC300). Will this amp work well with the Quads? Is there any danger to the speakers because of the high wattage? Will it sound any better than the Quad amp?
