from the get-go, and with tweaking even more so.
I bought them - instead of - used black Yamaha NS1000M's, and used Black QUAD 57's, (and a bunch of minis plus subs). Yes, really!!! almost as good deep-bass as the Yammies, clearer from the mid bass on up, much better imaging, almost as good as the Quads and just as revealing and self-effacing, IE they 'disappear', even without valves.
I would love to own big built-in corner jobs, floor to ceiling, brick plus ply, sand filled, walls, preferably as a section of a cylinder. Say a PHL or other 12 inch concentric pro driver, and a REALLY BIG woofer.
