See my comments below about the VTL TT-25's. I've used a 45 watt tubed MacIntosh(bad), BIC Lux Reciever(BAD), VTL Renassance 70 (Good), VTL compact monoblock 100's (very good), and since you guys scared me to death about too powerfull an amp., I ordered the VTL Tiny Triode 25 monoblocks (probably the best so far) I like the super-fine detail,and holographic imaging the surpasses the other amps. For a little more, you can get the Transcendent OTC Stereo, which is suppose to be very good, and Atma-Shere is suppose to be coming out with a 30 watt OTL for not much more then the Transcendent. I don't know about 300B SET amps. I have one in another system with Spendor S-100's, but never tried them on Quads. I heard they don't work well.
