Adrian - I can confirm the 57's work very well with a Berning ZH270, but this amp is rated at more like 70 watts. Also work very well with 845-based SET's, cannot comment on 300B's.Based on a comparison of the Quads with other speakers I have on hand, I'd say they're about 88 dB/watt efficient. Really quite good for a full range electrostat.
I have never pushed my Quads to see how loud they would play before blowing up. I'd guess you could get into the lower 90's at the listening position.
