I purchased a pair of TW's in 1980. The "3rd" version if I remember. They were open sounding, but a bit colored due to cabinet and floor resonances and were lacking at both frequency extremes. Raising them on nine inch stands improved the coloration somewhat, especially on vocals. Overall I enjoyed them and they made a lot of their peers sound "boxy".
