I can see where such a device is necessary with SOME rooms or speakers. What scares me is that some poor smucks out there will feel the only way to correct a garbage speaker to begin with is EQ it. Instead of demanding some designers to build a good speaker from the start. Not saying the Theil is a bad speaker..it's not. Sounds like in your case you've found the right fix. This will not work for everyone. Some of us don't need room EQs/Speaker EQs.I suppose I have a hard time relating as poor speaker design has been my main problem until recently..not the room. The toughest part is knowing whether the speakers are the culprit, the room or both.If I had this problem, room treaments would be my first choice.Next a differently designed pair of speakers.LOL
