I have an fully treated room with bass traps. Then I decided I'd give the Behringer DEQ 2496 a try. Sound is spectacular. From past experience I learned the room treatments I added helped significantly. Then bought another house which of course either had to have a good room or a place where I could build one. Went all out and the effort and cost has been worth it.The effects of smoothing out the room response or adjusting it to your liking is amazing. At this point I'm convinced no system worth anything should be without some sort of DSP assuming room treatments are already in place.
