royg this is in regard to your earlier comments claiming your speakers are phase and time coherent...not quite...

Any speaker you pick, you can find some tiny spot to get things correct
if
you are in an anechoic chamber ignoring all other radiation from the
speaker. My stereo is in a real room so all the radiation from the
speaker
must be considered. Separation of drivers is critical contrary to what
he
writes. Piston behavior for driver- out right lie- constant radiation
resistance- out right lie or error. Radiation resistance changes with
sound pressure level and frequency so how can it be constant? See
LaGrange
& Olier motion of a particle. If drivers are not always in phase then
cancellation must occur. Remember that if they are not in phase then
they
are out of phase so no minimum phase system and no coherence awards.
They
state in their lit they use first order cross which is a phase
interference
crossover which causes main radiation axis tilt and incoherence on
axis.
Find papers by Linkwitz Reily for more info. Maybe that guy missed
those
papers. He writes like the only sound you here is on the axis and
nothing
else matters. How far from the facts and real world experience can you
get?

Frankly, you either believe me or you do not. Please do not come
back to me with writings about what papers some S type personality has
read
and they therefore know something. They do not and cannot. Reading
papers
may be helpful but then again may not as many many papers are
incorrect.
If you look at anything through a small enough window then you can find
something that looks really good- until you go outside and see the big
picture. If a 6 inch driver were a piston then your listening angle at
3kHz would be the size of a fat flashlight beam and you could here NO
sounds from the driver other than on or near the axis. A condition I
am
certain does not exist. Seems like you are trying to validate based on
your understanding which is a nobel cause. I have been at this for 37
years and have in the last two years finally sorted out the way it is
from
the way so many wishes it was, like this guy. You will not do this
easily.
In short we have it, (low distortion and coherence with fairly flat
frequency response) no one else even comes close. If you want it, then
buy
it. If not, but something else. What others say has nothing to do
with
it. I am not here to educate others as to their gross lack of
understanding. You must take the leap of faith that I am the one that
has
it. If you do not take that leap that is fine and can understand but
that
is what is required. So jump one way or the other.
