Budget Speakers for old Sansui receivers

I'm just about to pick up two vintage Sansui receivers (the 5000A - 55WPC and the 2000X - 40 WPC). I was wondering if anyone had any experience pairing older receivers with new speakers. I'd like to pick up speakers for both receivers on the cheap, preferably around $150 per pair. I know what the budget recommendations are for newer equipment (PSB Alpha's, Paradigm Atoms, Axioms, NORH 3.0's, etc.), but I don't know what would work well with these older units. If anyone has any advice or experience with this sort of thing it would be much appreciated.
One thing to add is that I'll be using one receiver hooked up to my computer (with the speakers in close proximity), so at least one pair of speakers would have to be shielded.
Maybe this should be posted in the Vintage Asylum, but I am after new speakers (I need shielding and don't want to hunt for them) so...
