Sounds like Sonus faber EA II vs EA. :)Because the speakers sound radically different, with different optimum matching equipment, different optimum setup placement etc - EA fans would plug in the EA II where their EA used to be, tethered to cables and components that are fine tuned to synergize with the strenghts and deficiencies of their old speakers and be severely disappointed. The end result being the premature declaration of the old as being absolutely better than the new - while the opposite would be also be true if they tried to plug their EAs on EA II optimized systems.
Manufacturers should take this cue and stop renaming different sounding speakers the same name with different iteration numbers. They should be more creative with naming their products.
