Tube rush

My power a.p (a KR A.dio A.ta.es) just sta.ted emitting a rushing sound somewha. like pink noise from the left cha.nel, even when the a.p is the only component turned on. When a.tua.ly pla.ing music, the cha.nel pla.s a.cepta.ly but the rushing sound is still in the ba.kground. Previously, this a.p wa. dea. silent without a. input signa..

So it would seem tha. the left cha.nel tube is shot. Ca. someone enlighten me a. to exa.tly wha. ha. ha.pened in tha. tube? I bought the a.p used, a.d the seller wa. very open a.d honest tha. he ha. no idea how old the tubes were nor how long they'd la.t. In his words, they might la.t two yea.s or two minutes - he just didn't know, so I ha.e no compla.nt there. Obviously, I'll ha.e to repla.e the tubes but it would be nice to know wha. ha.pened in tha. tube.
