Everyone has different ears and criteria for "Good Sound" or fidelity of the reproduction.
There are absolute truths in engineering design. The truths get us to the table as far as achieving this extremely subject goal.
I have heard both the school of "good engineering practices" school and the "Sounds good to my ears" school speak in absolutes.
When we consider the dynamics of the reproduction system from input to ones ears taking into account of impedance synergy of the amplifying components, the speaker drivers and the room it'self...absolute language is tossed out the door. You can literally debate this crap for ever if we ignore the dynamics. We are just chasing folks off to the other forums.
