The bottom and transformer covers rang a good bit so I damped them with SoundCoat The Thicker. All of this is on the inside of the covers and invisible in operation.
They continue to drive the V-steen 5As much more loudly than I ever thought 8 Watts would. I biwire the 5As and use spades on the cables; installing both single-spade prongs in the Coincident-labeled, thumb-screw-tightened bindingposts is a PITA and 70-year-old fingers, so I have pairs of Cardas CCRR bindingposts on the way.
Have also fitted the gain and output tubes with Herbies' dampers that I had; doing so substantially reduced the moderate amount of microfonics each was exhibiting.
