The Coincident Frankenstein IIs arrived safely...

...and well-packed they were. They're warming now, but of course I took some pics first.

Input tube is a dual-triode Raytheon 6EM7, rectifier is a 5U4G RCA, and output is a Shuguang-manufactured, black-enveloped, Treasure 300B-Z. The steel blocks have Herbie's Audio Labs grungebuster discs on their bottoms, and they're busy damping the moderately ringing chassis. The bottom plate and transformer covers don't ring as much as the WAVAC items did, but they and the rest of the chassis will soon be damped with SoundCoat The Thicker.

Looks to me, and I know only enough about this stuff as to be dangerous, as if both triode sections' cathodes are bypassed.

Power-supply caps (and with a tube rectifier, these would be the 2nd-stage caps, yes?) are Solen 47/630s times 4. Maybe I'll meet the 1st-stage caps when I look under the transformer cover, or maybe one of the 9 small-to-medium 'lytics in the bottom is the 1st-stage cap.

The amps are making music, breaking in, driving the 87dB-sensitive Vandersteen 5As, and I'm using the V-steen inline hi-pass filters.
