Hey DAK,
You can go with DC heaters, but the chances of this being your problem is low, especially with indirectly heated valves. Check your grounding, check your PS filtering. If you are hearing only slight buzz with highly efficient speakers, you will probably have to physically rebuild the whole lot to fix it.
If you are bent on tweaking, look at your grounding first, it's the most complex aspect of a noisy amp IMHO.
