I haven't looked at the offering but...

Go with the higher transconductance drivers. A WELL LOADED 6SN7 or even a WELL LOADED 5687 will provide enough gain for a two stage amp and the over all performance will make you forget the 12ax7 in most thought out designs.IMHO ;> )

I've built amps with 12ax7s and 6SL7s just to convince myself that they can sound as good and I always end up replacing the driver in two stage amps with they're faster cousins.

That's my experience...
