RE: Question regarding Linear Power Supply Design

In my experience, a resister in the B+ prior to the power amp take off is not a great idea sonically. I normally skip the resister and go with a choke input then trim the B+ voltage by adding a small cap before the choke (making it a cap input). Running the model is helpful.

Lots of ways to approach a power supply. What ever makes it "stiff" is usually the right approach. Impedance is definitely a consideration.
