The 300B output tubes are Valve Art, a Chinese manufacturer. These are good performers for the money. I have glossed over the build and find it messy with many low-grade components.
This amp is probably sufficient for a headphone amplifier but I wouldn't expect great performance driving full-range loudspeakers.
300B amplifiers can and do sound incredible when they are over-built using the finest transformers, caps and tubes all put together in a well laid out design in a solid chassis. I know as I experience this every day.
It makes no sense to me to go to the trouble of building an amplifier and then skimping on the components. A well built tube amp can provide a life-time of pleasure and thus deserves a painstaking and patient build with the best components available.
Do this and you will rewarded again and again and again.......
