Jeremy has recommended the Audio Note E's and I would second that suggestion, but if you're looking for something for less money then I'd also recommend the Audio Note J's.Both the E's & J's are especially friendly with single ended amps, but work well with many tube amplifiers. I have used the AN-J/Spe's with EL-84 and 6V6 output stages and for the past few months with 300B's. The J's have been wonderful with all of them. I find them to give a very coherent presentation with a balanced tone, good frequency extension and they work well in all types of rooms as they have good off-axis dispersion. I have them in a very difficult room.
There are quite a few dealers in Ontario & Quebec, but not so many in the west.
