The SORO has louder bass and greater weight to the midrange, but I wouldn't call it better because it rolls off a little more at the top end and loses some detail. Actually, I think the bass is too strong - somewhat unrealistic.
Both the OTO and SORO SE's sound dark to me, period. However, they are still great ampllifiers for many other reasons, i.e. dead quiet background, natural sounding, dynamic and musical (for want of a better word).
The Audio Note SET's are better in every way IMO.
Beware however, because opinions can be very subjective and the choice of tube brand and vintage can make big differences to the sound. And I know at least 3 people right now that will disagree with me. As others have stated it's always best to try before you buy. (which isn't always possible)
