Todd,
Thanks a lot for your input. I spoke to Don yesterday, for the amp he said there is a matching power transformer (Hammond, I think) which can be wired for either 110/60hz and 220v/50hz and he is trying to find out the possibilities of matching the filament transformer. I am hoping he will find a way!
But, he wasn't sure about the pre-amp yet. It might not be possible to change to 220v/50hz power transformer on that. He said, there is no way to test that.
I will try to find out whether we can find a PT which can provide a 220/50hz step-up feature and will talk to Don whether he can help me to customize the pre & amp for me.
I do see many tube pre & amps (kit and assembled) have an option for wiring to either 110/60 or 220/50. For example, my current Cary has this option including filament transformer. So, I thought there must be a way to get this done.
I love to have his pre & 2A3 SET and also planning to build a speaker based on his specification. I am trying to see all possible ways to get one. Hope there will be a way!!
Thank you.
