i ran some long speaker wires from the room with the otl's to the room with the valencias.the otls clear up the valencias. gives them a good sound.
but the problem i have with otls manifested itself again. and that's that they are basically emotionless. that why i switched to sets in the first place. the otls are okay with my ribbon based speakers. pretty good tone there and it's harder to detect the lack of emotion, but of course you still can. but with the valencias, it's very apparent. to me, kind of like dc on the filaments in sets.
however with the ribbon speakers, i've always been impressed with how the otls do the bass. that they do very well. better than ss to me.
