Somone I just met early this year built his own variation of the WE91B 300B amp (the latter 2 stage single WE310A pentode driver design w/out input trafo) BUT direct coupled and choke-loaded... I could ask him to design for me something similar, but using early Directly Heated Pentode drivers like the 47 if that is possible. And use 394A Thyratrons (merc vapor tubes) for rectification....
