I sure would have liked to build from scratch. If I had the time for such a thing. It would have been fun to collect the best of parts over a period of time and slowly build a real quality piece of gear. You know, have a shop laser cut a custom chassis and such. Give my amp a unique personality. I do like my 845 ASL SET mono-blocks for an off the shelf unit but I know I could have built MUCH better given the time. Hmmmmm maybe when I retire...sigh.
