I have the Welborne labs DRD300B.
The TJ meshplate that came with my amp sounds very good - the sound is detailed and open. The top end is extended and the lower end is nice.
I believe they sound much like the Sophia.
Now I use the Western Electric 300B.
Overall the sound is much better then the TJ - bass is fuller the mid is very nice - detailed and balanced. The top end is smooth but less extended then with the TJ.
However, sometimes I get the filling that the sound is lazy.
