I was not impressed, but that's because I just don't get "scat".Sarah Vaughan is not just a scat specialist...indeed, if you go
to that CD I recommended in that post, you wont hear a single
song done in scat in 22 or so numbers.Actually, I like Billie Holiday the best of all the jazz singers
as no one, and I mean NO ONE, has her soul, depth, and feeling.
Personally, I dont think anyone comes close, even to this day.But you should give Vaughan another chance as SCAT was not her
only calling; in fact, I always think of Ella Fitzgerald when
someone mentions SCAT, as that was more of her claim to fame.kh
