It's been an amusing ride, filled with highs and lows, as well as some soap opera of the highest or lowest order, depending on your vantage point. As I said before, life was so simple with the Ye Ole B&K Monoblocks or the sainted EICO HF-81...
Alas, I have been very happy as of late, back in the ole Moondog grove as it were. Even the Milkman has been singing alone and ole Nancy has skinned her knee a few times, but remains gleeful at the sight of the RCA 2A3s a glowin' (she doesnt like the fact that the Sovtek 2A3s are as dark as a bat cave, even at 3am with lights out and brain fading to catatonia) .
As said above, the Moondogs have been making lovely sounds, though I am still brandishing the ProAc Minitowers with the wandering eye heading toward a horn purchase if I can just whip MQRacing into sending me those 200 MagneQuest T- shirts he promised...the ones with the fanny pack extensions and the "I love Philly" pockets.
I still could be talked into selling the beasts if you catch me in the right frame of mind i.e. offer me ducats . Those that have looked at the wiring within say it is an amazingly clean job. These beasts do have the "Ultimate Upgrade" for lack of a better choice of words...
I would like to take the time and space here to personally profusely THANK Mr. Jack G. and the little known JohnR who is known to lurk about without posting. Without Jack's help and above and beyond the call mercy, I would be seven steps back in the learning curve. The guy just mailed a care package of tubes down for no other reason than kindness as well, this while not feeling up to par. Cant say enough about ole Jack. John sent me a Hickok 800 tube tester because he is from Australia and is insane. I owe him big time and am still figuring out how to repay the lad.
