Agreed, there's nothing like the first time!!! I used to tell small amp manufacturer's to find a "virgin" reviewer to audition and write about their single ended amps. assuming the reviewer did not have speakers from hell... a rave was almost guarnteed. The first is always the best or, at least, most memorable.

Not surprised. Do the HF-81's use the Acrosound outputs or the Freed outputs?

Outputs are only one part of the schema. There are a good, good number of variables and parameters (at least 437 in an amp) that go into making an amp sound good. So, you might want to experiment a bit more. Try different coupling caps for instance. Try weird things... like different interconnects. It all gets so complicated... heh... milkman?

When the bossman gives you a big christmas bonus.. check out the Ittok arm for your LP12. To this day I still adore the LP12 table. Nice stuff.

Power supply issues????????????? Don't know.

What I have heard through the grapevine is that Proacs are pretty SE friendly speaks. If you live near Philly give me a call... maybe I could loan you a pair of speaks to try out. Is there any other inmates near you or other friends who might have different speakers you could try out with your amps?

Why are we talking about pussy and buttholes? Isn't this a g rated family entertainment channel?

in my earlier days you just wouldn't believe how much of my equipment found new homes through the pages of audiomart. You now have a larger market to participate in. Think of it as your tuition to progressively getting better and better sound.

again, don't get bummed... enjoy... experiment... give me a call if your close to Philly.

Mike
