I recently had an opportunity to compare my WE 300B's with Golden Dragon globe mesh 300B's and Golden Dragon's clone of the WE. To my ears both of the Chinese tubes came up way short, although the mesh 300B's were clearly weaker than the clone. In addition, I have had my WE's for about five years now, since I bought them from Gordon Rankin with my Wavelength amp - how many cheaper brands would I have gone through by now?
