Thanks Thorsten, on first read it gave me the wrong impression.I am a fan of direct coupling and use it wherever I can so driving ESL's directly has always made a lot of sense to me. In fact I had already planned on going down that path as my next big project. I have been around high voltages for a long time and have a healthy respect for them so they don't worry me too much. Do you know of anyone who is knowledgeable and had some success in this area?
On another note I've always liked Tannoys. The first great speakers I ever heard (over 30 years ago) were Tannoys and Quads. I'm not too familiar with them though and didn't realise that Tannoy made model(s) that are so efficient and easy to drive.
Regards,
Naz
