No pain, no gain. :)I prefer a bit more power in my SETs, and in the hands of a competant builder, they certainly don't present any more problems/risk than anything else. The payoff/ benefit is worth it, in my book. There are some tubes that simply sound better than 2A3s and 300Bs....and even 45s. A GM70, for instance, will not poop out on climax, and will certainly deliver the goods for the B-3 parts.
As for weight, one can deal with that too, if you plan for it.
Of course, YMMV.
