Big amps(845, 211 etc.) generally require big voltage as in > 1000 volts for some. That requires special parts including wire covering and frankly is a hell of a lot scarier than a lot of us want to deal with. Make a mistake building a big amp and you can die.They also have size issues, Doc. B built a VV52 amp that it took 4 of us to get out of his basement. It weighed over 200 lbs. It was a stereo amp with a solid 17 watts that drove almost anything. Great amp, he ever wants to move it again, I am changing my phone #. ;)
Big amps are a big pain. It is why people put up with horns and low power sets.
