chop please listen to what everyone is saying. while your PP amps at 22 watts sounded good to you, you will find that a SET amp will have a difficult time driving those speakers. you may hear the volume, but everyone is trying to tell you that the SET amp will not be giving its best performance into that load. that SET amp cannot show its "magic" when driving those speakers. your tweaking via tube rolling will likely not have the effect you are looking for. any chance you can swap these amps for higer powered SETs (cary 805C at 55 watss per channel, which is still probably not enough) or high quality PP(cary 280SA v12i monoblocks)? sorry for the mention of cary, just using them as examples of the genre. some more power is what you need to make those speakers jump. regards, tony
