In my parlance:extended = wide bandwidth. Good linear response from low bass to up past my ability to hear. The only criticism I have of most (and I stress the word *most*) SET amps is their ability to produce good bass.
dynamic = good damping and transient response. What some people call "fast". An amp should be able to provide sudden bursts of current as required without any stress. I don't identify poor dynamics as a particular problem of SETs, but as a symptom of substandard transformers, both power and output.
Removing the output transformer from the equation can provide an audible improvement in both areas.
