Yep...I tried that and while the 300B did sound better with one triode driving it, it still didn't sound as nice as a 45 with the same driver.I've really got to step out and do something a bit more adventurous with the 300B driver. I know there is better than RC coupled pentodes. I'm finally working now, so I'll soon have the funds to play.
