I use 4 of them in a PSE with 5814A input valves and 5687 drivers. I have only been able to compare Chinese valves (bright and somewhat harsh on treble with no weight to bass) with JJs. I have found the very musical, with a balanced tonal presentation. They accurately reflect minute tonal changes in other upstream valves and they provide me with a great deal of musical satisfaction in conveying emotions. They appear to me to be very detailed and define the tonal characteristics, duration and volume of notes with precision. I have had them for about 18 months and their performance has been consistently good after about 150 hours of burn in.Their price depends on who you buy them from. I got them cheap from Robert Losonci of Losconi valves in Austria. I cannot remember the exact price but it was certainly cheaper than what Thorsten paid. It is probably worth shopping around.
