Yep, I meant cathode resistor. So I tried this set up this afternoon: 460v B+, dropped by 39k, and using 100H choke. The 6N1P plate voltage is exactly 250, but the current is only 4ma, using a 1k cathode resistor. I still get the driver clipping at the same time as the output, and the frequency response seems to drop off pretty rapidly after 90hz (and above 15khz). By the way, this gives me about 10 watts output. Is there a way to fine tune this so I get at least symetrical clipping (in my case the top, at the OPT, clips before the bottom).
