Single Ended Triodes (SETs), the ultimate tube lovers dream.

Bugle, ERIC Barbour, JE ,Tubelab,Morrison etc. Which offers the best sound to the average DIY builder? Are the DIY amps competitive with commercially available stuff like Bottlehead or Sun Audio? Also, some amps like the Eric Barbour use push/pull output transformers. Is there any disadvantage assuming comparable quality vs a dedicated SE output transformer?
