Todd, I finally got to the bottom of it. So my ears think...
I swaped my speakers around, and moved them forward about an inch in front of the wall unit, toed in towards the listening position. In addition I swaped the 45s first, and then the 6SN7s, taking an audition of the first four minutes of the 1st movement of Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances in CD. All of this without the subwoofer on, and with the super tweeters disconnected. I kept at it until I was most satisfied with the soundstage. Then I connected the tweets and that added some sparkle, and finally the woofer and that added some more punch to the good amount of punch the system already had (you know some of us like to take it in the gut.)

Now that I was more satisfied, I played Norah Jones first CD, and her voice was dead centered in the soundstage, with the piano and guitars well placed as well. Last, I had David Sandborn play his saxophone for me, and he was too centered in the stage and jumping at me. Ahhhh, those 45s...

A good part of the fun of this hobby of ours (at least for me) is working on improving what we already have by tweaking and rolling (listening to music comes first though.) In that spirit I still would like to hear from the folks out there that have or may have had one of Jeff Korneff's amps as to what tubes are/were they using; and as much as it can be done so, describe the sound they are getting. I realize that there are many variables, the speakers, the room, positioning, etc.
Anybody has any experiences with EMLs 45 Mesh? These are expensive, are they worth it?
