Unfortunately removing the wall unit is not an option for me, as the horns double as the speakers for the SET system and as the fronts for the 5.1 SS surround (I switch systems by swaping the banana terminals.)
I did bring the speakers further out than what the picture shows though, to the point that only about 3 inches of the inside rear corner of each speaker is behind the front of the wall unit.
