I am not sure what you mean by that Jeff. That is, what have you interpreted the quote the mean and why should that prevent "serious conversation". Care to share why? Perhaps my post linked below may explain more clearly my current take on that quote (in part). You seem have had no difficuly with a “serious conversation” when I was interested in your claims, defended the relevance of your posts, or positively discussed a product you were selling. Now that I call you on something, that seems to have changed.

As for my previous post, I was a little tired and cynical, and somewhat cranky. Not a part of my self that I am proud of. The section of my post that was most relevant to your post was the first part, which you only vaguely responded to (interesting). The parts of my post you quoted and for which you reserved direct responses were not specifically relevant to your post, but were responded to as if they were.

Perhaps I could have been clearer and/or should have made the "Why do folks..." question a new para to prevent confusion. However, this may not have helped in your case. You repeatedly demonstrate an interesting selectiveness in what you respond to, often seeming to avoid the general intention or main point of a post. That, or responding with minimal relevance.

Perhaps you like your hammer so much you either a) mainly see the nails, and/or b) perceive most problems to be nails.
