I am surely not one of those folks. That is 9.65 Watts dissipation of the plate. In 2010, I would shoot for about 7 Watts dissipation, maybe 250 VDC P-K and 0.028 A.
My interest is not in just what works, but what works and likely sounds the best, on a long term basis, and there are usually not muliple optimums.

We all have a right to accept or not. That is totally fine with me. As to you questioning ....it is difficult for me to get into a serious conversation, after reading the quote you selected!
